Bitmap Font Generator
Generate a styled 36-glyph sheet (A–Z and 0–9) from a prompt and pack it into a bitmap-font atlas with a JSON glyph map in your browser — drop-in pixel fonts for your UI. Powered by AnnoMotion AI.
- Before you start
- A description of the letterforms — "chunky bevelled arcade lettering".
- What you end up with
- A glyph sheet PNG, a packed atlas PNG, and a JSON glyph map.
Step by step
-
Describe the font
Describe the letters themselves — weight, edges, material — not the game they are for.
-
Pick a style, then build the atlas
Generate the sheet, then press Build atlas. The packing runs in your browser and produces the atlas and the coordinate map together.
Worth knowing
- You get A–Z and 0–9 — thirty-six glyphs, no punctuation. Plan for that.
- The sheet always comes back in A–Z then 0–9 order on a 6 × 6 grid, so the Build atlas defaults already match it — no grid to tune.
- The map is JSON with the position and size of each character, not a BMFont .fnt file. Most engines will take it with a few lines of loader code.
