How credits work

3 min How AnnoMotion works

What a credit is, when it is spent, and what happens when something fails.

Before you start
Nothing.
What you end up with
A clear idea of what you are spending and when.

Step by step

  1. One balance, spent by the tools

Everything on AnnoMotion runs off a single credit balance. Cheap things — a texture, a vector trace, an icon — cost very little. Expensive things — video, 3D, stem separation — cost more, because they cost us more to run. Several tools are completely free and never touch your balance at all.

  2. Credits leave when you press Generate

The charge happens on submit, not on download. That is what stops a queue of half-finished jobs quietly spending money you did not agree to.

  3. A failure refunds itself

If a generation fails, times out or comes back empty, the credits go back automatically. You do not need to ask, and you do not need to notice — a background job sweeps for stuck work and settles it. If you ever see a charge for something you did not receive, open a support ticket and we will put it right.

  4. Watch the meter, not the price list

There is a usage meter in the corner of the dashboard showing how much of your balance you have used. That is deliberately the only number on screen: we would rather you thought about what you are making than did arithmetic before every click.

Worth knowing

  • Free accounts get a top-up every day once their email is verified. It is replaced rather than added to, so a quiet week does not bank you a big balance.
  • That daily top-up is for the everyday tools. The expensive runs — video, and the higher 3D tiers — come out of your main balance instead, so the free allowance on its own will not fund one.
  • Draft quality costs less than Standard and is genuinely useful for trying an idea before committing to it. This matters most on 3D.
  • Buying a credit pack and subscribing both add to the same balance.
