Parallax Background Layers
Generate a scene as separate scrolling depth layers — sky, midground, foreground — with the front layers cut out on transparency, ready for a parallax background. Powered by AnnoMotion AI.
- Before you start
- A description of one scene.
- What you end up with
- One PNG per depth layer, with the front layers on transparency.
Step by step
-
Describe the scene
Describe it as one picture — "a misty pine forest at dawn". The tool handles separating it into depths.
-
Style and layer count
More layers give smoother parallax and cost more. Three or four is plenty for most side-scrollers.
-
Optional seed
Keep the seed to generate a second scene in the same visual world.
Worth knowing
- Scroll the back layer slowest and the front fastest. If the effect looks wrong, it is almost always the speed ratios rather than the art.
